Since you mentioned the 9/11 conspiracy theory, I'm curious what your opinion is. (I've read about this but have never discussed it with anyone before.) I'm confounded by the fact that the towers & everything in them disintegrated to DUST, not even structural beams or office supplies or furniture fragments were found in the rubble. Yes, two huge fuel-filled airplanes would do a lot of damage, but they shouldn't have turned everything to DUST. Also it's suspected that explosives were planted under the buildings in advance of the plane strikes

Not everything disintegrated into dust. Remember the hijacker's passport.
MLK, LBJ, Nixon, GHW Bush, J. Edgar Hoover, The Beatles, Brown & Root, the CIA, Clay Shaw, The Mafia, angry Cubans, all of them were there taking aim at JFK (pbuh). Only Oswald's shooting hit the mark.
Just looking for thoughts on the question posed by the original post. Help me out here people. Especially those in the Oswald camp. What would be the ramifications if the official version of JFK assassination history was proven wrong?

Most of the people who care about conspiracy theories are not motivated by a need to find the truth. They're motivated by how boring the truth is, and by a need to discover something sensational. And while it's true that there are a lot of details that seem hard to explain, that doesn't mean they haven't been explained. But the explanations are hidden among tons of conspiracy theories, which makes them practically invisible.
When you think about how much weight was above the floors that were destroyed by the airplane fuel, it should not be surprising that the whole process of the building collapsing seemed strange. Try building a tall toy building with lego, then holding a sledgehammer over your head, and using all your muscles to hit that building straight down as hard as you can. Then tell me the collapse of your toy building seemed unnatural, because it was destroyed too completely or anything like that.
