So illegal alien deportation is a "stain"???? What about allowing illegals to take American jobs and destroy Americans' livelihoods, and allowing an open border where drugs and gangs come across?
Yes, it would be because the reality of such a mass deportation could not, would not be carried out without developing some race based profile of what an "illegal alien" looked like. So unless you can assure to me that those detained for deportation looked just like anyone else rather than Mexicans or individuals from countries south of the U.S. Mexican border then perhaps, I would think differently about such a program, but you can't so I won't have to.

I simply can't see how such a massive program, as proposed, could possibly be established without the whole sale detention of brown people, citizens or not, by law enforcement and the military. Detention without trial is by definition unconstitutional and every potential deportee has a right to argue the legality of their deportation before a sworn and appointed immigration judge, not some two bit local appointed by the boys down at the local Cracker Barrel!

Relax. Wino is a shill for Hillary who has come to the History Forum for support. What he is actually saying is, "Vote against Trump".
The smallpox virus is particularly inhuman. My point is that the Indians were left demoralized and disorganized since smallpox leveled leaders as well as more ordinary Indians. What was left behind was more or less a random mess rather than organized Indian society. It was pporly positioned to either negotiate effectively with nor fight the oncoming Europeans.
The fact is whether the Europeans did it nicely or meanly, the Indians were going to be displaced regardless.
Contrary to the wide spread fairy tale story, the smallpox was not being deliberately distributed among Indians. There was AFAIK a single, isolated, small scale recorded incident that happened in the XIX century - well after the peak of the smallpox epidemic.
It's really impossible to judge the XVIII and XIX century deeds by the (pretty hypocritical) modern morals.
American slavery is by far the ugliest stain on this country's history. There isn't even a close second. It was so bad that the ramifications of it are still felt to this day.
Since nearly all the slave traders were jews we have to ask if jewish acitivities like slave trading people should be a stain on the U.S. or a stain on jews.

I know you can't prove that, but I'll just comment that the slavers that had been intercepted by the USN's Anti-Slavery Patrol were mostly financed by Northern concerns, sailing out of Boston, New York, etc.

BTW, most of the slaves sold in Africa were delivered to the white "factors" by other Africans.
