Your vote is logged for authenticity. That info is then placed in a data base. Every election and how you voted is on file. That's how your local, state and federal can surmise your "taste" in the govt .

I recall a govt employee upset that I didn't register to vote when Bush was campaigning. I said, that's my choice. Not yours to keep a record of what Or who I support.

No your vote is not private.

Sorry, but after researching this further, you are wrong. My vote IS private. Even my son admitted as much once he had a chance to think about it.

Maybe YOUR vote isn't private, but mine and everybody else's is.

How you voted is NOT on file. How you REGISTERED may be, but not the vote itself. That would increase the government paperwork immensely. They simply cannot afford to keep that much data, even if they somehow had access to it at the time.
