At the top of the list was the governor of Texas, John Connally. Through Connally’s name, Oswald had drawn a dagger, with blood drops dripping downward.

Special Agent Howard turned the address book over to the FBI and, ultimately, to the Warren Commission. Only some time later did he learn that the list with its hugely important insight into the killer’s motive had been torn out of the book."

Lee Harvey Oswald’s little green book shows JFK wasn't the real target - LA Times
People always forget that Marina, Oswald's wife, informed the FBI that:

(1) Oswald had previously tried to murder General Walker. A failed assassination attempt on Walker was then linked to Oswald when the bullet fired at Walker matched Oswald's rifle and the same bullets fired in Dallas.

(2) Oswald wanted to kill Governor Connally.

So many irregularities in this case. One of the more disturbing ones involved an FBI agent named William Marvin Gheesling. Agent Gheesling removed the FLASH (security watch) on Oswald on 10/9/63 that had been in place since Oswald defected to the Soviet Union. If this FLASH had not been removed the Secret Service would have been made aware of Oswald's presence in Dallas & he would have been flagged. The FBI has never explained why the security watch was removed at that time.

The context is important here: Oswald went to Mexico City in late September. The FBI & the CIA knew that, and Oswald's visit was under review in early October by American intelligence agents. How the FLASH gets turned off under these circumstances is troubling to say the least.

I believe there was a conspiracy to murder President Kennedy. Information, and disinformation has dripped out over the decades. I do not believe that the head shot that killed him came from behind. This is a long, but very interesting video. Who knows how much, if any of it is true? But it sure makes you think........

Whatever Happened To Marina Oswald? | KERA News

But Marina Oswald later changed her opinion on whether Lee Oswald shot the president.

She said he was framed.

She said everything Lee told her about JFK was good. She didn't really believe he fired those shots.

I have always wondered about her and why she said he did it. Maybe that's what she was told to say. After all, she didn't want to be send back to Russia. She would say whatever she was told to say. But then, after years went by and she remarried and felt safe, she was able to say what she really believed. Her daughter seems afraid to say one way or the other. Even the Kennedys of today don't come right out and say who they think really did it. They just say that they think it was a conspiracy.

OW- He WAS a double agent?
LAF-He was an FBI informant who was infiltrating Cuban exile group

November Days 1963

Kind of a long read but an easy read--and fascinating. His wife didn't even speak English on the day JFK was shot--she just went along with what people told her. LHO spoke Russian and always told her that JFK was good. His cell mate in Dallas was interviewed. LHO worked for the FBI and was set up to take the blame. They knew of him, of course, and his interest in politics. The rifle didn't even have fresh fingerprints.

Oh also there were some space aliens posing as humans on the grassy knoll that took a few shots as well.

Seriously - do a search and read one of the many threads in the history forum on the topic. One man, and only one man, killed JFK in a senseless act of violence. However, human nature being what it is, many of us tend to explain an otherwise senseless death that had such historical significance by building up a mythical conspiracy around it. It's a coping mechanism.
This does not explain Jack Ruby. It has always been the fishiest part of the whole story. Although it does seem like Oswald did the shooting.

And the wounds--one came from front, not just from the back. All those witnesses dead. JFK stepped into dangerous territory when he became President, tried to get too much done, pushing too hard against people in power who didn't agree with him. You don't double cross the mob either--and his father worked with the mob to get him elected!
JFK didn't do squat except for almost starting WW3 and failing to overthrow Castro.

Well, he did start the Moon exploration effort.

Agree with mob participation - but if it was just the mob, they'd be wiped out in a very spectacular fashion. You don't just take out a POTUS, double cross or not. Once the gloves are off, the government wins.

If there was a conspiracy, LBJ would have to be a big part of it.

MOB/CIA/probably Cuba was involved somehow. CIA used the mob.

The CIA was contracting with the mob to kill Fidel Castro. But no one really know all the intricacies, just that they were involved. A lot of moving parts.

The CIA may well have known that a plot was afoot and deliberately turned a blind eye to it and let things happen.

Others, such as LBJ and Hoover, may have known about it, too.

Oswald may have fired his rifle but he was basically a diversion.

There's a saying in Spanish..."entre todos lo mataron y el solo se murió". "Everybody killed him but he died himself".
