The biggest lie of the modern era is that Israel is our friend, that we should support them, give them money and equipment, back them diplomatically, and send our young me off to die on their behalf in order to destabilize the surrounding region for them.
Of course that support is 100% emotional. People, especially American Christians, and especially evangelicals, have been suckered into having that emotional connection which did not exist for nineteen and a half centuries of Christian history.
Objectively there's no reason we should support a country that's just as crazy, offensive, racist, xenophobic, and militaristic as North Korea.
That we needed to drop the A-bombs in order to stop WWII.
It was nothing more than a show of force that started the Cold War, nuclear proliferation, and US Imperialism. It eventually fueled the Korean War, Vietnam War, and the Middle East conflicts. And look where we're at now...
Except, there was no lie involved. A decision and opinion was made by the leaders of this country on how to end the war, and it turned out to be a very good one.
An example of how a lie could have possibly been involved here is if the United States government engineered some type of cover-up and stated the A-bombs were never dropped. But, they in fact did not do this.
As to: "And look where we're at now". We're actually in a pretty good place. You're assertion that the A-bomb had something to do with later conflicts is simply without merit.
Indians were savages....they had a culture before the white man.

and justice "far all"....that is a flat out huge lie in America and always has been.
I notice all your items are of a liberal thought process. Well here is an item from my point of you. That if we implement affirmative action and welfare and other subsidies in this country, that the beneficiaries of said benefits will pull themselves up by their bootstraps and take care of themselves.

There are deeper problems than that and it doesn't work. We need to get to the bottom of the problems first and figure out a way to make it work. We give subsidies for rent, then landlords just raise the rent. We give vouchers instead of cash and the very poor have to sell the vouches for much less money to buy clothes. Those are just a couple of examples but it seems we always get it wrong. We need to get people on their feet and let them contribute to society. So why do we keep them down...maybe that is the question that should be asked.

Properly put, what is The Truth and what is A Lie?
As the truth is one and only. Per definition. Any lie is twisted, perverted aspect of The Truth. It's mirrored shadow in curved mirror.
Here's definition of the truth by now gone guru.
The truth is anything that is forever. Eternal. Lie is something that passes, comes and goes.
That used as a tool, gives you very few Truths that are eternal. Plenty of ever so changing lies.
