Seriously, was there ANYTHING the Bolsheviks did that wasn't all manners of evil? Were there any members that wasn't a disgusting piece of filth/subhuman trash? Looking at history, everything they stood for, everything they did, everything they accomplished was pure unadulterated evil.

You haven't indicated whether you are limiting your tirade to the party actually named Bolshevik only, or if you mean the subsequent party renamed "Communist."

If the latter, I would say that the army of the Communist Soviet Union was of major importance, probably the most important element, in the military defeat of Nazi Germany. That, at least, is a plus.

So.. didn't they ? Go down in history as one of the most evil groups ?
I don't see any "neo bolsheviks" around,or at least no people that would use that label and be proud - like some, for example, neo nazis do. Am I missing some bolshevik apologists ? Folks who try to reinvent history to prove they were the good guys ?

The societal goals of the Bolsheviks were not evil, they had a utopian vision of a classless society where all needs were addressed. They failed to establish a society along those lines, but that does not alter the original intent.

What evil may be attached to the Bolsheviks is more or less the same evil associated with any revolutionary group attempting to replace the existing authority...they were cruel to those who opposed them. That may also be said of the Sons of Liberty and the Directorate in France. All these groups employed the same justifications...the ideal goals ameliorate the less than ideal behavior required to achieve them.

If it is of any consolation to you Stalin meted out no small amount of punishments to Bolsheviks after Lenin's death and his rise to power. Two of those involved in the murder of Czar Nicholas II and his family (Alexandre Beloborodov and his deputy Boris Didkovsky ) were killed during the Great Purge. A third, Filipp Goloshchyokin was killed by the NKVD in 1941.

It is almost universally true that those who begin revolutions are rarely the ones who finish them and or have lasting power afterwards. This was true for the French Revolution and certainly for the Russian.

The Bolsheviks like others who find themselves suddenly in power at first do two things; settle old scores, then spread terror to show the world/people that the old order is gone and not coming back.

In terms of actual evil Stalin was far worse than Lenin and his followers. Taken in their entirety both Lenin and Stalin were far more "evil" and murdered more Russians than any of the Romanov rulers.

Lack of respect for the institution of private property can escalate to contempt for other people's liberty ... and from there, to contempt for someone's right to life itself.

We all know what rolls downhill, and that stuff also tends to stick to things, and to stick together.

I am not sure the OP is using the term of "Bolsheviks" as a general term to represent the entirety of communism rather than just the specific founders of the Russian Communist Party during the Russian Revolution period. The term became somewhat obsolete by 1918, at least I don't think it was used much.

If the former my only response is:

Questions like these are usually more a reflection of the person asking the question ...
