Just to make it clear, Jesus never set foot in Rome and he was not taken there to be crucified. Jesus was crucified at Golgotha aka Calvary, a hilltop outside the city of Jerusalem.

Actually it is more of a metaphysical question since we have yet to determine the nature of being here.
