To follow russian "sources" is insane. Especially from soviet times. They are completely unreliable and unerrepresent number of victims. Those same people were saying till 1990s that germans killed polish officers in Katyn and not russians untill they finally admited to this genocide. Russian genocide of poles is well known after Riga treaty and after attacking Poland in 1939 and taking their land.

Russians today try to rewrite the history even though it is well known that they collaborated with nazis and made a pact with them where they divided central-eastern Europe between each other and started second world war through attacking Poland alongside Germany.
1. 1933. The Pact of four (Italy, Germany, England, France).
"Pact of four" was an attempt to oppose the League of Nations "directory of" four great powers sought to subjugate their hegemony all over Europe. Ignoring the Soviet Union, the four powers attempted to pursue a policy of its isolation, eliminating at the same time, from participation in European Affairs of the other States of Europe.

"Pact of four" meant "conspiracy of the British and French governments with German and Italian fascism, already do not hide their aggressive intentions. However, the Pact with the fascist state means the abandonment of the policy of strengthening the United front of peace-loving powers against the aggressive States"

But because of disagreements among participants and the discontent of other countries "Pact of four" was never ratified.

2. 1934. The Pact Of Pilsudski-Hitler (Germany, Poland).
The non-aggression Pact between Germany and Poland. It was supplemented by the Treaty of Commerce and navigation, separate agreements for print, film, radio, theatre etc.
Provided for the preservation of the Covenant in force and in case of going to war with third States one of the Contracting parties.

3. 1935. Anglo-German naval agreement.
The British government has secured the claim of Hitler that the "power of the German fleet was 35% in relation to the total power of the British Empire". The proportion of 35:100 was used as the total tonnage of the fleet, and for each class of vehicles.

In relation to the submarine forces of Germany was entitled to equality with Britain, but must not exceed 45 % of the tonnage of the British submarine force. Provided that in case of violation of this limit, Germany would inform the British government.
Germany also took upon itself the obligation to comply with the qualitative restrictions imposed by the Washington Treaty of 1922 and London Treaty of 1930,

in fact, the Germans were given the opportunity to build 5 battleships, two aircraft carriers, 21 cruisers and 64 destroyers.
The result of the agreement was the final abolition of all restrictions of the Versailles Treaty. As permitted tonnage of the fleet Germany equalized with France and Italy - the countries-winners in the First world war.

4. 1936. Anticholinerterase Pact (Germany, Japan).
The agreement with Germany and Japan, who (under the banner of struggle against the Comintern) set of these States in order to gain world domination.
In November 1937 to the "anti-Comintern Pact" was joined by Italy, and later a number of others.
In 1939-40, the Pact turned into an open military Alliance (see Berlin Pact).

5. 1938. The Munich agreement (Britain, France, Germany, Italy).
The agreement relating to the transfer of Czechoslovakia the German Sudetenland.

The meeting in Munich führerbau held on September 29-30. The basis of the agreement is the Italian proposal, does not differ from the demands made earlier by Hitler at a meeting with Chamberlain. Chamberlain and Daladier accepted the proposals.
In the morning of 30 September 1938, Chamberlain, Daladier, Mussolini and Hitler signed the Munich agreement. After that, the hall where the agreement was signed, was made the Czechoslovak delegation.
Leadership of UK and France put pressure on the government of Czechoslovakia, President Benes, without the consent of the National Assembly noted the performance of the agreement.

5.1. 30 September between Britain and Germany signed a Declaration on mutual nonaggression.

5.2. A similar Declaration in Germany and France was signed later, on 6 December 1938.

6. 1939. German-Romanian economic treaties and agreements.
Onerous contracts imposed by the monarchist-fascist Romania, put the Romanian economy dependent on the military needs of Nazi Germany.

7. 1939. The non-aggression Pact of Germany on the Baltic States.
For Germany, the purpose of the Treaty was to prevent Western and Soviet influence in the Baltic States and the environment of Germany (a non-aggression Treaty with Lithuania was signed already in March 1939 after the German ultimatum regarding the klaipėda).

The Baltic States were to serve as a barrier against the Soviet intervention in planning the invasion of Poland.

Germany proposed to conclude a non-aggression treaties with Estonia, Latvia, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden on 28 April 1939.
Sweden, Norway and Finland declined. Draft contracts were ready in early may, but the signing was postponed twice, because Latvia asked for clarification.

8. 1939. The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact (Germany, USSR).
The non-aggression Pact between Germany and the Soviet Union.

19 August 1939 was signed the Soviet-German economic agreement, and August 23, the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. The Pact stipulated a non-aggression Treaty and the obligation to remain neutral if one of the parties will be subject to military action by a third party.

To the Treaty additional Protocol on the delimitation of spheres of mutual interests in Eastern Europe in case of "territorial and political rearrangement". The Protocol called for the incorporation of Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Eastern "regions that are part of the Polish state" and Bessarabia to the USSR sphere of interest, Lithuania and West Poland to the German sphere of interest.

Interesting, isn't it?
Stalin concluded the non-aggression Pact last, after England, France and Poland. But it's still Stalin's fault.

"current" business, which entailed Soviet obligations to deliver 180 million Reichsmarks in raw materials and German commitment to provide the Soviets with 120 million Reichsmarks of German industrial goods.[97][98][99][100] German Foreign Ministry official Karl Schnurre noted at the time that "[t]he movement of goods envisaged by the agreement might therefore reach a total of more than 1 billion Reichsmarks for the next few years."[101] Schnurre also wrote "[a]part from the economic import of the treaty, its significance lies in the fact that the negotiations also served to renew political contacts with Russia and that the credit agreement was considered by both sides as the first decisive step in the reshaping of political relations."[101] Pravda published an article on August 21 declaring that the August 19 commercial agreement "may appear as a serious step in the cause of improving not only economic, but also political relations between the USSR and Germany."[102] Soviet foreign minister Vyacheslav Molotov wrote in Pravda that day that the deal was "better than all earlier treaties" and "we have never managed to reach such a favorable economic agreement with Britain, France or any other country."[98]

Early in the morning of August 24, the Soviet Union and Germany signed the political and military deal that accompanied the trade agreement, the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact. The pact was an agreement of mutual non-aggression between the countries.[103] It contained secret protocols dividing the states of Northern and Eastern Europe into German and Soviet "spheres of influence."[103] At the time, Stalin considered the trade agreement to be more important than the non-aggression pact.[104]

At the signing, Ribbentrop and Stalin enjoyed warm conversations, exchanged toasts and further addressed the prior hostilities between the countries in the 1930s.[105] They characterized Britain as always attempting to disrupt Soviet-German relations, stated that the Anti-Comintern pact was not aimed at the Soviet Union, but actually aimed at Western democracies and "frightened principally the City of London [i.e., the British financiers] and the English shopkeepers."[106]

In 2011, the historian Timothy D. Snyder, after assessing 20 years of historical research in Eastern European archives, asserts that Stalin deliberately killed about 6 million (rising to 9 million if foreseeable deaths arising from policies are taken into account)[51][52]

"The release of previously secret reports from the Soviet archives in the 1990s indicate that the victims of repression in the Stalin era were about 9 million persons. Some historians claim that the death toll was around 20 million based on their own demographic analysis and from dated information published before the release of the reports from the Soviet archives.[60] American historian Richard Pipes noted: "Censuses revealed that between 1932 and 1939—that is, after collectivization but before World War II—the population decreased by 9 to 10 million people.[61] In his most recent edition of The Great Terror (2007), Robert Conquest states that while exact numbers may never be known with complete certainty, at least 15 million people were killed "by the whole range of Soviet regime's terrors".[62] Rudolph Rummel in 2006 said that the earlier higher victim total estimates are correct, although he includes those killed by the government of the Soviet Union in other Eastern European countries as well.[63][64] Conversely, J. Arch Getty, Stephen G. Wheatcroft and others insist that the opening of the Soviet archives has vindicated the lower estimates put forth by "revisionist" scholars.[65][66] Simon Sebag Montefiore in 2003 suggested that Stalin was ultimately responsible for the deaths of at least 20 million people.[67]

Some of these estimates rely in part on demographic losses. Conquest explained how he arrived at his estimate: "I suggest about eleven million by the beginning of 1937, and about three million over the period 1937–38, making fourteen million. The eleven-odd million is readily deduced from the undisputed population deficit shown in the suppressed census of January 1937, of fifteen to sixteen million, by making reasonable assumptions about how this was divided between birth deficit and deaths."[68]

Some historians also believe that the official archival figures of the categories that were recorded by Soviet authorities are unreliable and incomplete.[1] In addition to failures regarding comprehensive recordings, as one additional example, Canadian historian Robert Gellately and British historian Simon Sebag Montefiore argue that the many suspects beaten and tortured to death while in "investigative custody" were likely not to have been counted amongst the executed.[69][70] [71][3]

Communists will always be remembered for what they brought to this world which is suffering, death and war they started together with Germany by attacking Poland.
And what is small things... Declare at once 100 million killed.. or 200..and then somehow too small for Stalin, some 20 million.

In post 179, I announced the official figures that were issued in the certificate of the Ministry of internal Affairs for Khrushchev in 1954. I Note that Khrushchev was not a fan of Stalin, and if these mythical 20 million victims would was true, they would was announced undoubtedly.

What are you on about? Russia and Germany attacked Poland, what is so hard to understand? So it was rather an aggresion pact than no aggresion lol. What do other non agression pacts, which were plenty of them between various countries have to do with it? You along with nazis attacked another country which had pacts with other countries which caused world war making you along nazis responsible for world war. Not to mention other countries that you invaded after invading Poland and before Germany invaded you .

No one ever claimed 100 or 200 millions so I do not know what are you talking about. 20 million is also the highest possible assumption. It was most likely less but the number was in millions of dead people anyway. And that is obvious. As to those victims assumptions figures from Krutschov being right, then why did soviets lie about Katyn untill 1990s, claiming that germans did it? Proving that those numbers were clearly false. So much for your credibility.

In the quotes that I put you have professional historians making assumptions based on documents, archives and cencuses. And written why one should not take russian numbers seriously and what soviet statistics lacked and why they lacked it. Much more credible than russians what they proved with rewriting history about Katyn for example for many years after Krutschov supposed real statistics were revealed.

"Poland-Hyena of Europe" - W. Churchill.

Just do not make an innocent victim from Poland. Poland throughout its history has been an adversary of Russia / USSR. And she repeatedly attacked Russia. Poland was also an ally of Hitler and participated in the partition of Czechoslovakia and planned to profit from the Soviet territories in a joint war with Hitler against the USSR. And by and large, Poland, together with Germany, is responsible for unleashing WW2 and not the USSR. So Poland got what it deserved.

As Poland was an ally of Hitler

Quote:
The myth about the involvement of the Soviet Union to the outbreak of the Second world war continues to exaggerate the enemies of the Russian state. Not so long ago this subject was again raised by the Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski, who accused the Soviet Union in the joint with Nazi Germany attack Poland. In fact, the events preceding the outbreak of the Second world war, developed in a completely different way.

When Adolf Hitler came to power in Germany, in a number of countries in Eastern Europe, and Poland was not among them, with the exception of myself there was a right-wing authoritarian regimes, ideologically, the former is much closer to Hitler than to the Soviet Union, and even Western countries. In may 1926, the government in Poland was in the hands of the Minister of war Marshal Jozef Pilsudski — one of the veterans of the Polish national movement, who came to power after the may coup of 1926. The influence of Parliament in the country was limited, many civil rights and freedoms curtailed. In 1934 Poland concluded a non-aggression Pact with Nazi Germany. He was signed on 26 January 1934 in Berlin. On the German side the document was signed by foreign Minister Konstantin von Neurath, on the Polish side, the Polish Ambassador to Germany Jozef Lipski.

Before signing the Pact Poland unsuccessfully tried to form an anti-Hitler bloc, but then the Polish government has revised its foreign policy. This was due to the desire of Poland to revise the borders of Eastern Europe established the Treaty of Versailles. In the period between the two world wars Czechoslovakia was represented quite actively developing the economy, but on its territory encroached more powerful neighbors — Germany, Hungary and Poland. In addition, most of Czechoslovakia acted Slovak nationalists who had ties with Nazi Germany and hoped to establish an independent Slovak state. Germany claimed the Sudetenland, where a significant portion of the population were ethnic Germans. Hungary sought to gain control of the territory of Carpathian Ruthenia, inhabited by many of the Magyar population. Poland also claimed much of the territory of Czechoslovakia — Eastern region of Cieszyn Silesia, which had a large economic potential and is inhabited not only by Czechs but also by ethnic poles.

For the division of Czechoslovakia, the Polish government wished to enlist the support of Germany and Hungary. The Soviet Union was also regarded Poland as a much more likely enemy than Hitler's Germany. Affected anti-Communist and Russophobic views of the Polish authorities, who hated everything Russian and the Soviet Union as a continuation of the Russian state. Therefore, the Polish authorities were preparing for the partition of Czechoslovakia, relying on the support of Nazi Germany. Although between the USSR and Poland signed a non-aggression Treaty, in fact, Poland has continued to conduct anti-Soviet policy. The Communist movement in the reign of Pilsudski were subjected to unprecedented persecution, especially in Western Ukraine and Western Belarus.

Soon in Poland, an event occurred which had great consequences for the country. May 12, 1935, in 20 hours 45 minutes Jozef Pilsudski died of liver cancer. From Germany came the funeral delegation led by Hermann Goering. The death of Pilsudski, who tried somehow to balance between the powers, entailed some changes in the foreign policy of the country. The heirs of the Marshal sought to further tighten anti-Soviet Polish politics. Occurred almost open reorienting the country's foreign policy on cooperation with Nazi Germany. August 31, 1937, the General staff of the Polish army adopted a secret Directive put in front of the Polish army the task of destroying "all of Russia", regardless of the political system and the dominant ideology. Unlike Poland, the Soviet Union was well aware of the danger posed to Europe by Hitler and repeatedly offered to create a block for defense against the aggressive plans of Germany. But this was not to happen. In 1938 Poland openly sided with Germany. First, the Polish government actually supported the Anschluss of Austria, stating that it is an internal affair of Germany. Thus, was the impetus to the restructuring of postwar borders. Already five days after the Anschluss, on March 17, 1938, Poland presented an ultimatum to Lithuania. In addition, preparations have begun for the rejection of Cieszyn Silesia from Czechoslovakia. Poland by that time was in actual collusion with Hungary and Germany, intending to dismember the Czechoslovak state.

Despite the fact that Czechoslovakia was a Slavic state, Poland did not refuse from idea to profit territory by a neighbor. In this case, the affiliation of the Czechs and Slovaks to the Western Slavs, and the poles had to Polish leadership irrelevant. 21 September 1938, Poland demanded Czechoslovakia to transfer the Eastern part of Cieszyn Silesia under Polish control. September 30, nine days later, Warsaw reiterated its demand, and on 1 Oct 1938 in Czechoslovakia, Polish troops were introduced. Těšín Silesia was occupied, and then became part of Poland as a Western-Tushinskogo district. 2 Oct 1938, Marshal Edward rydz-smigly made a statement about the reunification of Cieszyn Silesia to Poland. So Warsaw was a party to the treacherous section of the Czechoslovak state.

11 Nov 1938 in Warsaw held a military parade dedicated to the accession of Poland, the Czechoslovak lands. Then the whole world saw the photo of the friendly handshake of Marshal of Poland Edward rydz-rydz and the German military attaché Colonel von bogislava Studnitz, which was designed to demonstrate active military-political cooperation of the two States.

The annexation of Cieszyn Silesia was of great economic importance for the Polish state. First, 35 thousand Czechs after the accession of the region to Poland fled to Czechoslovakia, which led to the confiscation of their movable and immovable property in favor of the Polish state. Second, under the control of Poland were companies from the metals industry. In the Cieszyn region accounted for 47% investment in Poland of steel and 41% iron. In fact, it was barefaced robbery of the Czechoslovak state, in which Poland took an active part. There is no doubt that if the situation had been different, Poland shamelessly would take part in the looting and dismemberment of the Soviet Union. After all, the Directive of the Polish General staff ordered was the defeat "all of Russia" as the strategic objectives of Polish politics "in the East".

The Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland józef Beck did not hide their ambitious plans to join the Polish state, Ukrainian and Belarusian territory, as well as on the way out of Poland to the Black sea. Of course, the leadership of Nazi Germany was not going to allow Poland to join Ukraine and Belarus, so it had plans on the territory of the Soviet Union. However, to maintain visibility of the Union relations with Poland, the German diplomats routinely assented to the Polish colleagues. Moreover, the top leaders of the Third Reich, including Hermann Goering, repeatedly tried to convince the Polish government that Germany is ready to work with Poland to fight the threat from Russia. Goering talked about the fact that Russia in any form, whether monarchy or Republic, historically threatened the Central and Eastern Europe and the strategic interests of Poland and Germany coincide. For Polish politicians, these words were like a balm for the soul. After the then Polish elite hated not only the Soviet state but the whole of Russia, Russian people and Russian culture as a whole. Naturally, to fight the Soviet Union/Russia Polish leaders were willing to unite with anyone, including Adolf Hitler.

There was another terrible truth. The Polish government since the early 1930s, pursued a policy of discrimination against non-national communities, primarily the Jews. Therefore Warsaw was in complete agreement with the Nazis against the Jewish question, maybe not in such radical form. When Nazi Germany were expelled to the border with Poland 17 thousand Jews who had Polish citizenship lived in Germany, Poland's government has refused to place its own citizens, though of Jewish origin. By the way, during the Second world war, Polish nationalists, and not only fought on the side of Hitler and his opponents, took part in the genocide of the Jewish population in Poland. Now, when the Holocaust raise the influential Jewish community in the US and Western Europe, the Polish government tries to keep quiet about the crimes of their ideological predecessors, on the state policy of anti-Semitism that took place long before the occupation of Poland by Nazi troops in 1939.

But Poland is taking steps to ousting Russia from participation in commemorative events in honor of the uprising in Sobibor. As you know, the Sobibor death camp was organized by the Nazis in 200 km to the South-East of Warsaw (the present-day Lublin Voivodeship). Among his prisoners were a lot of citizens of the Soviet Union. A Soviet citizen Alexander Aronovich Pechersky and was headed by the legendary Sobiborski uprising. Served as a technician-intendant 2nd rank in the position of account Executive, Alexander Pechersky was captured and ended up in the death camp. Of the prisoners managed to escape into the woods. Among them was the caves. He became a partisan, was involved in the fight against the Nazis in Belorussia, and then served in the 15th infantry assault battalion and obtained the rank of captain. After the war, Alexander Aronovich returned to Rostov-on-don, worked as an administrator in the Theatre of Musical Comedy and lived to 1990. It turns out that Russia is not able to represent the resident of Rostov-on-don, headed Sobiborski uprising, but the Commission is Poland, whose territory was a concentration camp where people from among the collaborators took an active part in the genocide of the Jewish population, and combating partisans. The surviving victims of genocide remembered with horror special cruelty of the Polish collaborators.

By the way, Polish collaborators played an important role in the security system created by the Nazi occupation authorities on Polish territory. Loyal to the Third Reich, the poles met with a favorable attitude on the part of Nazis and even admitted the "race full". Polish citizens were equipped with the so-called "blue police" who were subordinated to the German police and used in anti-guerrilla and anti-fascist movement, in the protection of the Jewish ghetto. Only Soviet troops were captured more than 60 thousand soldiers of the Wehrmacht from among the citizens of Poland. Although most of the poles fought against Nazi Germany, we should not forget that among the poles there were many collaborators, and, unlike the USSR, the collaborators joined by many representatives of the Polish elite.

When, in September 1939, Nazi Germany invaded Poland, it was only a conflict of the previous two "accomplices" for the dismemberment of Czechoslovakia. There is nothing surprising in the fact that the Soviet Union did not defend absolutely Russophobic and anti-Soviet regime in Poland from the Nazis. This would be equivalent to what a normal person would intervene in a fight between two criminals that have arisen over the carve-up of the stolen loot. By the way, the German attack on Poland became possible, including thanks to the annexation of Czechoslovakia, then part of the Czechoslovak lands became part of the protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, and part of it became part of a puppet Slovakia, allied to Hitler. That is, Poland snout his own grave with his own hands. Then Marshal rydz-smigly had personally refused to allow the red Army passage through Polish territory, effectively denying Poland the only possible protection from Nazi Germany.

Now the Polish government is trying to present the situation as if it were the Soviet Union, not Poland, in collusion with the Horthy Hungary and Nazi Germany divided in 1938 the territory of Czechoslovakia, and before that welcomed the absorption of Austria. It bears Poland, together with Germany and its other allies, the most immediate blame for the outbreak of the Second world war, which, by the way, actually began not with the invasion of Poland, and with the division of Czechoslovakia and the destruction of the independent Czechoslovak state. This section occurred with the connivance of the West and the direct participation of Poland.

Poland was far from innocent country. It does not change a fact that russia invaded it alongside germany, starting a world war, which shows who was real ally of Hitler. Not to mention other countries like Finland and baltic states that russia invaded. Who did Finland participate? Who did estonia participate or latvia? So stop with your excuses. Comparing invading few countries to Poland taking TINY LAND from Czechoslovakia inhabited in HUGE MAJORITY BY POLES and therefore excusing Russia invading FEW OTHER COUNTRIES is nothing else but rewriting history.

Profit from soviet territories? You do realize that Poland could take much more territory during treaty of Riga which belonged to them before Russia stole it in partitions, But they decided not to? Leaving over 1,5 millions Poles on soviet area, which caused those people having terrible faith. Forced displaces, persecutions, starving, executions and death that your criminal government specifically put on those people. You do realize that it was Russia that caused Poland dissapearing from maps of the world for over hundred years and not the other way.
You really wanna compare your criminal, genociding state to Poland or other countries like Finland or Estonia that you invaded? The only country that you can compare soviet union with its murderous policies is nazi Germany.

Russia making a pact with Germany and then invading Poland and other countries is a FACT.

6.Ukraine 1918
7.Georgia 1920
8.Azerbaijan 1920
9.Armenia 1920
10.Mongolia 1921
11.Georgia 1924
12.Afghanistan 1929

18.Lithuania 1940
19.Romania 1940
20.Iran 1942
21.Bulgaria 1944
22.Japan 1945

But yeah keep excusing russian imperialism, collaborating with nazis in order to invade many countries and to compare Poland taking a tiny piece of land of 900 square km inhabited by Poles to invading whole many countries and enslaving half of the continent to mass murders and biggest mass rape since mongol invasions that your brave soldiers commited, when they were going through Europe and could not even spare a russian female prisoners from nazi camps.

Care to show us some documents of millions of people polish state starved to death? Care to show us a document of even thousands of executions, of even thousands people polish officials murdered, or millions people polish state sent to some gulags or executed simply on base of their nationality like russians did with Poles? I do not think so.

So just because other countries had some flawes and were not perfect, do not compare them to genocidal, disgusting states like soviet russia or nazi germany.

What a lack of knowledge you present in the subject of history.

Your history rewriting is pointless. People have an acces to books and internet and know which countries pact was responsible for breaking out world war and many countries being invaded.

So yeah who needs facts, when you have russian revisionists trying to falsify history

Care to show us some american-nazi parade or some polish-nazi parade or some british-nazi parade? No? There are not any? Because there certainly is a video of russian-nazi parade as much as soviet and russian revisionists hate it being on the internet. There is no better proof that video.

You absolutely do not know a damn thing about Russian history if you carry this nonsense.

That's it. No matter how you and your kind try to not rewrite the history. The USSR was and will be the winner of fascism. Not the USA, not England, not France, not anybody else! Namely the USSR! Whether you like it or not.
