I hate them both. Censorship is denial of the 1st Amendment, our freedom of speech.

Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas.
Joseph Stalin

By censorship, you deny freedom of speech and expression. It is the 1st Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. The right of religion, speech, assembly, or petition. Those include the individual, protester(s), and press. Dialogue is when both sides both listen, talk and listen. I think listening is more important than talking. So did God, hence one mouth, two ears. As a husband of 42+ years, listening is mandatory. Sometimes listening is unpleasant, but sometimes we are wrong, and if we don't listen we will continue to be wrong. Censorship is the denial of dialogue, knowledge is power, ignorance is weakness.

The theory of Communism may be summed up in one sentence: Abolish all private property.
Karl Marx

Vandalism is destruction of personal, and public property. I really don't understand vandalism. I don't condone murder and theft, even lying, but I do understand them. But vandalism eludes me. Why do people destroy other people's personal/public property ? I have coached youth Baseball for over 4 decades, both Fall and Spring. Thousands of games and practices. Every season, our fields, dugouts, Concession Stands, bathrooms, and equipment were vandalized. Once, these vandals stacked 5 or 6 picnic tables on top of a T-ball dugout. Why ? It took up hours to safely take them down. We are all volunteers, so we have to repair the damage or purchase replacements.

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.
Winston Churchill

Censorship is destruction of speech and knowledge, Vandalism is destruction of property (personal and private), but also of History which is the recording of knowledge. Vandalism is a form of violence, it serves no worthwhile purpose. Arson is vandalism, and those acts of vandalism and censorship will not help this nation heal.

If we continue on the path to Socialism, it will help no one. Censorship and vandalism improve nothing, they only denies discussion and property. It doesn't build anyone up, it lowers us all down.

We're not censoring anything, but this isn't appropriate for the History forum.
