Simply because winning a war and ending a war are 2 different things.
Ah. One war.

But in World War II, we did far, far better than the French. Or the Dutch, for that matter.

Oh hell, I read somewhere that The Netherlands had more nazi collaborators among there citizens than any other conquered country during WW2, including Vichy France.
1,000's of dutch soldiers even enlisted in SS divisions.
When the allies went into Holland, the nazi flags came down and the U.S. and British flags went up.

The Dutch didn't enlist to fight for Germans, they enlisted against Russian Bolshevists.

Occupation was not a requirement for collaboration, collaboration was a requirement after defeat.

Romania, Hungary and Italy for example. Spain remained neutral although it was anti-Bolshevist.

Yeah right. The SS-Freiwilligen-Grenadier-Brigade Landstorm Nederland, composed of Dutch volunteers, fought on the Western Front against allied forces, keeping the fatherland safe for the Aryan German-Dutch race no doubt. This same division was tied to some civilian attrocities as well.

Not many Russion Bolshevists fought in Market-Garden or crossed the Rhine that I know of.

We can also discuss the Henneicke Column as well.

Adolf Hitler was supported by anti-Bolshevists in Germany, and by Anglo-American corporations and bankers against Stalin.

Communists declared a Soviet republic in Bavaria that lasted 4 weeks in 1919 and the Red Army was defeated in Warsaw in 1920.

Keep repeating to yourself: "The Blitz Never Happened. There was no V-2."
