While I was born in San Francisco, I spent my childhood and most of my life in a European capital. As a young man I tried and failed at being both a royalist newspaper publisher and novelist---both of which I infused with an intense support of monarchies. After marrying an heiress from a wealthy industrialist family, I declared myself king of an island principality--on which I sought to establish a military dictatorship. After a short-lived "reign", my attempts at regaining my kingdom failed, contributing to a period of deep depression that led to my death.

It's going to take me a while to put one together. I had one all planned out a couple of days ago and now I can't find my notes.

If someone wants to post one while I am searching I'd be much obliged. I've never actually said that phrase out loud. Someone shoot me if I do.

The most successful product line of my company still features a Middle-eastern motif that was introduced nearly 100 years ago. I developed a new material for packaging my product, which revolutionized packaging, and made my name famous for the brand of that well-known product, as well. In the 1800s, I built houses and schools on company land for my workers, and increased their wages and reduced their hours. I lived in a modest apartment on the top floor of my factory. I remained an eligible bachelor until I became the richest man in my state, and then, at 73, married a woman 30 years younger.

I can't think of anyone right now, so I'll pass on my turn. If anyone has got one they'd like to share, the floor is yours.
