I bought a small 18 X 24 foot house that was built in 1951. In 2005, I built onto the back of the house an 18 X 24 room addition to double its size. I firmly believe that this house should now be listed as being built in 1978.

My house was built in 1902, my pub was built in 1441.

These are such cool stories....
Mine is newer, 1973....it did weather our three hurricanes of 2004 much better than the newer houses....

I'd love to own one of these old ones tho!

It's in: Junius Heights Neighborhood Blog Junius Heights (http://www.juniusheights.org/blog/wp-gallery2.php - broken link) Historic District in East Dallas. My father bought it from the family who bought it in 1917. The kid who grew up there was best friends with my best friend's father and they went to my high school in the late 1930s. The street car stopped just behind there and they could hear the motorman flip the seats over to face downtown at that end of the line stop.

mine was built in 89
where i live though, there are more than a few from the 1700s and very early 1800s
