The problem that I have with this halcyon view of the 1950s is that while for whitebread America, it was a great time, it was still a time of oppression and endemic racism for blacks and other minorities. So if you had a cosseted suburban existence it was great. For the rest of American? Eh.
Flip side: Jim Crow laws were being thrown out one after the other............

Your professor must have known about how the Rothschild family (from Germany), after trying since the inception of this country, finally gained control over the U.S. economy via the Federal Reserve Act which gave Congress' Constitutional control of our monetary system over to the Federal Reserve Bank, a private, for profit corporation of which the Rothschild's have their greedy little hands in.
People don't realize it, but this country is controlled by old European families who are shareholders of the Federal Reserve Bank.
No wonder Bernanke won't tell us where the bankster bailout $$ went. That bailout was the biggest act of theft in the history of the world, and the traitors who enacted it are walking around, still getting paid with illegal American taxes!
The 1930's was the best decade ever in history. I know that the great depression and the crime were the sore of the 30s, but the music, movies, clothing and culture were the best. I didn't live the 30s, but I wish I could. The movies and show weren't mute anymore and many cartoons like bugs bunny, popeye, ect.
