I've seen them in the State of Jalisco. My guess is that they're ancestors mixed with Germans, Dutch, etc.

Although i'm not sure what percentage of Mexicans are Spanard but the recient European Y- Chromosomial DNA tests done showed that Spain is still majority Celtic blood at 70% and not Latin (Roman) or Germanic (Visigoths) majorities in their ancestry. Spain is 4th highest in the world with Celtic blood so possibly some of it is in Mexican blood also.

I like the painting of Queen Isabella of Spain in 1492 with her Celtic orange blondish hair, blue eyes and fair skin.

Castillian spanish are characterized by blond hair and blue eyes. They are pure Spanish with no "Indios" blood.

Actually: there is a lot of Italian in Argentina's 'Hispanic' culture----------perhaps due to 40-50% of all Argies can claim ancestral Italian heritage.

Well as i'm looking at the chart i see that 17% of Hungarians have the R1b (Celtic) while 32.5% have the R1a (Slav, Mecedonian) and another 15% have the I2a (Danubian) as they're top 3 Haplogroups for Y-Chromosomal DNA.

And I am definitely 'Celtic' in appearance.

OTOH: a friend of mine; also of either 1/2 or full Hungarian lineage is probably at least part Roma (Gypsy)----------she has the high cheekbones, dark hair, brown eyes complete with epicanthic folds, etc.
