Of the last 50 years, the one I like most is Eisenhower. Championed the freeway expansion. Greatest thing ever done for the country in the modern age.

Hard to say. In my lifetime, Reagan was excellent and impressive. But I always liked Harry Truman. Though I'm more Republican, he was a plainspoken son of the midwest, who was thrust into the presidency, had to make a lot of hard decisions, and made many right ones.

Without a doubt: Harry S. Truman. Took us to a good place after the war, made tough decisions fairly and, for a change, was an honest man. I loved the McCollough biography, too.

He was wrong to do what he did and it was embarrassing to see a President go through what he did in 1998, but that doesn't take away from the good job he did overall.

I'd also say JFK was definitely one of the if not the best ever, and I'll also give some praise to Ronald Reagen.
hindsight being 20/20: I have to agree with your choice of Clinton as well; the late 1990's was the last time that regular working Americans saw their real wages rise.

As for Bush: I will be polite

Note I am a registered Republican as well.

My favorite was Ronald Reagon I like how he handled foreign policy, economics and more.

I think clinton was the worst with his appeasement to terrorists and his lowering eligability for people to get a house going to bosnia to cover up a scandal.

Also the biggest underachiever; the guy was a limp noodle. My favorite was Jackson. I thought that would spice this forum up a bit.
