Just watched a history channel show on George Washington Carver. It reminded me of all the studying I did as a kid in school. I was fasinated by him. I remember reading everything I could about his experiments. I got some good grades in both history, science class over many different years in school. All the different things he did with just a peanut,(no he didnt invent peanut butter) and the soybean. Anyway I have afew different black people in history I could list but GWC is my favorite person I admire. who else?
I don't have a "favorite black person" because I honestly don't pay any attention to what color people are. I care about if they are going to either harm me or not, but I won't classify "good people" on the basis of their race.
Here's a list of some of 'my favorite people..'
Robert Kiyosaki
Jim Gilchrest
Tom Leykis
Ronald Reagan
Michael Jackson
and Big Boy, the morningshow host.
Just Kidding... while I'm not that comfortable with identifying people according to racial criteria, I do understand the nature of this thread, so my vote goes to: Nelson Mandela with Mohammed Ali as a close second.
I also loved reading about George Washington Carver in school, a brilliant and humble man. The documentary was a good one, I watched it as well. I read also about many other famous African Americans, Booker T. Washington, Frederick Douglas, Harriett Tubman, etc. Amazing what they accomplished with every adversity at their backs.
