I was doing some research on my name and on the same day I was born, another person with my name died in Vietnam. Not a historic event, but one that sent a chill down my spine.
I was born on July 5th, 1946, three years to the day after the the beginning of the Battle of Kursk, which was Hitler's last major offensive on the Eastern Front and the largest tank battle in history.
I was born on the same exact day that Frank Robinson, (a Hall of Fame baseball player) was traded to the Baltimore Orioles, (my favorite baseball team). The trade took place during the off season. Robinson won the MVP that following season by winning the triple crown, (a rare feat), and the Orioles won their first World Series too.
There is something else. A very bizzare event that took place on that day that might explain some of the weird things about me.
A lot of them, but the highlights..................
1758 Lord Horatio Nelson born
1864 Sand Creek massacre, Colorado
1901 Enrico Fermi born

1913 Rudolph Diesel dies
1918 Allied forces breech the Hindenburg line

Cool thread. most people have probably never looked for this kind of info. But with only 365 days in a year, almost everyone has had something notable happen on their date of birth, regardless of year.
And my Father would sing to me........"she's a Dixie doodle dandy....born on the fourth of July!"
I was about 5 or 6 before I understood that all the fireworks were not just for me!
And that astrology stuff; from the little I've read, I'm a real Leo not a Cancer. Maybe that's because I was a little premature.
