Benjamin Franklin died on April 17th, and the Apollo 13 astronauts safely returned to earth after their near fatal voyage.
And in 1953 at Griffith Stadium in Washington DC, young Mickey Mantle blasted his famous 565 foot homerun. The term "tape measure homerun" was coined to describe it.
