It is interesting. There are a lot of town in Oregon just like that - corporate towns built for logging or mining workers, then abandoned when it wasn't cost effective to keep them going. Apiary is another town like that, and Bridal Veil/Palmer would be in the same boat.

I'm planning a trip this weekend to Cabell City, Greenhorn and Galena for pictures.
