Problem here in Spain is manicheism. If you say something not according to official history (we have official historians), then you're a fascist that wants to cut little children to pieces.

The official history, recent history, more so the history of the civil war, is mostly false. Franco said that democracy was to big a concept for Spanish, he was partly right.

Out of curiosity could you provide an example of what the "official history" is like? Am I correct in assuming it is slanted in favor of the left side of the political spectrum?

For example, they keep repeating that communists, anarchists and socialists (by then, marxist leninists) fought against Franco to restore "democracy".

Quite nonsensical.

They forget all the civil victims of communists and anarchists, but repeat one time after another all the victims of Franco.

Communists and Anarchist committed many massacres.
