Anyone aware of a decent video, book , or article on the treatment the German Russians received during and after the days of WWII? The tragedy of these people seems to be an untold story.

"The Reconstruction of Nations" by Snyder though dealing mostly with the Poles, Lithuanians, Ukrainians and Belorussians deals some with the Germans in the Slavic lands.

I found two books listed by Amazon Books on this subject, neither of which I have read. They are as follows:

Open Wound: The Genocide of German Ethnic minorities in Russia and the Soviet Union: 1915-1949 and Beyond by Samuel Sinner (Paperback edition)

Ethnic Cleansing in the USSR, 1937-1949 by J. Otto Pohl

However, at $50 and $92, respectively, they are pricey.
