That would be "capitalism" I presume? Yes, it has been most responsible for all of the worst crimes, especially those perpatrated by those arch-capitalists Vladimir Lenin, Josef Stalin, Mao-tse-Tung, Ghengis Khan, Pol Pot, etc.
Actually, I would have to include Sam Walton, the founder of Wal-Mart, a true blight on every location they have erected one of their monstrosities in. Also, let's not forget hip-hop and rap.

Capitalism and the greed it spurned on, are responsible for all of the above...expansion and materialism, the need for massive amounts of raw materials, and the need for human labor, to harvest or mine that raw material which led to mistreatment of other humans and so on...

Greed, and the capitalism it spurned on, is at the top of the list...

And or 'big industry'....

Those phenomena also existed in communist countries.

Oh, please.....do you work for a living? Are you paid by some terrible greedy, capitalist corporation? Or are you self employed, or independently wealthy. If you believe that capitalism, with all of it's faults, is at the top of the list, your grasp of history is seriously flawed, or, you are just an unthinking ideologue.

Your not seeing the big picture....regardless of whether I work or not...this nation, as well as others were formed on blood, greed and expansion...

Greed, and expansion, and materialism is the cause for all of the above...

World wide, not just in the U.S.

Trust me, I can see the big picture, much better than some people. You still did not answer my question regarding your source of income.
Do you have an answer for all this "blood, greed, and expansion", or are you a utopian? You need to respond with actual facts, not platitudes.

Of course I work...but again...it has nothing to do with what I do...

A question was asked, and I'm answering it...your trying to 'personalize it' Where as I'm simply answering a question...

This nation was built on blood, greed and expansion, materialism and capitolism....period...and the peruite of all of the above spurned cruel mistreatment of others to include slavery, genicide, killings, wars and the horrors that come with...

Wal-mart can do what they do now, cause blood was spilled earlier...

I'm not judgeing, I'm simply explaining...that's how it is....

If someones prospering here, others are suffering elsewhere to make that possible...

This equation applies not just to America...but anywhere where the pursuite of money, greed, and materalism has allowed big industry to rape and pilage the land and or people living there....

A fatuous answer. Capitalism has resulted in longer lifespans, better standards of living, greater wealth for everyone, incredible technological innovation, improved production of basic items such as food steps, better transportation, better communication, more dependable laws that respect individual rights, and the list goes on and on and on and on. Because financial gain, not human altruism, is the impulse that has made all these possible. Heck, some economists even estimate that the buying principles of Wal-Mart the bete noire of socialism, has lowered the aggregate inflation rate in the United States by some 2-3% yearly.

I can't imagine anyone with more than a facile education really believing that socialism is a better way. Pretty much, the more thoroughly the principles of socialism are practiced, the greater the overall misery of its population. I mean, all you have to do is go to North Korea, which is pretty much the ultimate expression of socialist ideals.

Socialism?? I never mentioned anything about socialism...quit thinking in such a small box....

Socialism is not the reflective mirror opposite of capitolism...for even in socialist countries...they must maintane a economy...which is ran by big industry...whether ran by the government or publically traded companies doesn't matter...the results are the same...

And what I'm trying to convey is that a price was paid for all of this....One mans wealth is another mans poverty....

Where do a great deal of diamonds come from??
And how much do the people in the mines get paid??

Please don't make me spell things out...just look at the big picture...as if your an alien from Mars...observing man....
