I've sold, and given away, some things on CL. For smaller items I still perfer ebay, even with all the issues people have. I just don't like dealing with people face to face because I always seem to run into the whacko's.

The owner is Craig Newmark. Ebay also owns a 25% share in the site.

Hmmmmm.....

Well here's a news flash for you....I can't log into the site anymore like I used to could, and before that I was getting tons of unsolicited mail from craigslist. Sounds like the place is littered with scams.

But I almost found a lamp on Craigslist that I wanted, would have considered getting it, til I contacted the owner and found that he doesn't deliver.

I've been using CL with mixed results, I've got my property listed and I've actually had more interest than any of the times I've listed with a realtor.

Other things I've had less luck with, i've got a couple of really nice framed lithographs that I've never been contacted on along with some Dressage show stuff - boots and coats, nada.

I got really ripped off by an ebay seller and can't recommend using one EVER.

I think it depends on what you have for sale, I've got 2 dulcimers I'd like to sell but I'm not sure CL's the place to do it.

You expected delivery? What did you think Craigslist was, Home Depot?

I don't know of anyone who delivers. CL is just like an online bulletin board. If you want something, you usually have to go get it.

I have sold a keyboard, a television, video games, a phone, children's clothes and a Geo Tracker on CL. I have bought a few children's items from their too. I have never had any issues.

I plan to offer FREE delivery of some firewood soon... The power company has agreed to cut down a tree that is a risk to their pole and my power... They do not want to have to take it to a dump and since it is red oak it will make good firewood.... I have the truck/trailer you just have to load and then unload at your house

So you see anything is possible

The person that wanted bamboo must have found some or was spooked when I asked what size and length they needed.....Oh Well ... I had planned on leaving it at the road, so I do not have people wandering around in my yard...
