So, what hobbies do you have that would be considered socially unacceptable?

Depending on the audience....Firearms and building AR-15's.

It's not that it's socially unacceptable. I just live in a liberal area and don't want to hear it anymore.

WW2 Reenacting. Specifically reenacting a Stabsgefreiter in a support unit of The Gross Deutschland division... Something about the swastika on the uniform upsets some folks....

Collecting;
Porn
Tips left by other patrons
Valve stems from parked cars
Cell phones

Doing:
Prank calls
Adding strange items to peoples shopping carts...like a box of condoms or vagasil...
Looking up to an empty sky with amazement/horror to see how many people do the same.
With a foreign accent ask strangers where the prostitutes are or how much they would charge instead.
Setting up a fake valet stand
Schlonging all the pictures in a newspaper then putting it back
Hanging closed signs in places that are open
Putting wet paint signs on random handrails
Telling gas station attendants that the condom machine in the men's room is empty...loudly, in front of other customers.
Telling a strange man in crowded office elevators that you saw him at the gay club on Friday, you were going to buy him a drink but he seemed "busy".
Asking a strange woman in a crowded office elevator is the rash is clearing up or if that abortion went okay.
Putting police tape across random things like bus stops and park benches....chalk lines/fake blood are an added bonus.
Putting someone else's underwear in other peoples laundry at the laundromat, then imaginging what happens when they get home.

Collecting animal skeletons. Have you seen that show Oddities, its an entire store that sells things that most would consider fringe acceptable.

Collecting animal skulls. That's the biggest one.

I also collect airplane disaster movies. People seem to think that it's morbid.

I also like to watch TV shows about plane crashes, train crashes, explosions and natural disasters but I also enjoy amazing survival stories.

Some people would think this is odd but I love it.

Years ago I was in an abandoned house and came across a box filled with newspaper clippings of the very things you are interested in. Train crashes, plane crashes, etc. It was kind of disturbing, but I see that collector was not alone in his/her interest. Interesting.
