My passion is to enjoy all that life offers, with passion.

I used to think that one had to have a "passion", one particular thing that they involved themselves with, that they can claim to be most intensely interested in. Unfortunately for me, I couldn't pick just one thing. In fact, there are so many things that I am "passionate" about, that I concluded that all that makes life fits this category. My passion is to enjoy it, be the best that I can be given my level of intelligence and the opportunities presented to me, love those who love me, and so forth, until I die.

I one time I had a passion for creative writing. Also have kept journals since junior high school. I've found since I got involved with the Internet, social media, etc. my desire to write creatively has really waned. A spark is still there, but not enough to restart.

My true passion is for photography and the adventure of discovering places I've never been before then trying to figure out how to best photograph them. I've enjoyed photography since I got my first camera back in my school days. After my husband passed, and I inherted his SLRs, I decided to learn how to use them instead of selling them. Best decision I ever made! Of course I've moved on to digital photography now, and that has given me more freedom than ever to experiment and hone my craft. The more I learn, the more I want to do. I'll never get tired of it.

Parks. My passion is parks. I love visiting new ones, I love walking the wooded trails in parks, I love enjoying everything they have to offer. I created my own blog writing about the parks and recreation industry and am writing a book about my local parks. Can you tell I love parks, lol? I guess it comes from my love of nature and the outdoors and growing up in rural America.

I have a love/hate relationship with my passion.. which is poker.

It has given me a high level of stress, but has also opened the doors to driving a BMW when I was 19, travel to the bahamas, living in another country and always having a way to make money even in rough times.

I grew up in a family of professional gamblers, so it was fairly natural to me. I've been around it all my life, but my dad had always kept me away from it on purpose.

I started taking it serious when I turned 15. What really fueled it was my obsession for always winning and my obsession for always improving anything I do.

That's my passion as in a hobby.

My true passion in life is travel and living a free life.

Also golf and foreign languages.

I love hiking and mountain biking but my biggest passion is snow skiing. I had gone with friends a few times around age 18-20 and moved on to marriage, responsibilities and other things. Then I found myself newly divorced at 42 and decided I would go nuts if I had to sit around doing nothing all winter.

I started to ski again. That was about 15 years ago. At the time I had nobody else that wanted to go with me. My friends were married, couldn't afford it, whatever. I decided to start going by myself. I quit skiing on the easy groomed runs and challenged myself to get better. I fell down a lot. Luckily, I have a good job with 3 day weekends and I'm having the time of my life now. I usually make it 2 or 3 days a week during the season.

Love playing music!!! My Mom & husband hated it. I played flute in high school and my husband locked my flute in the safety deposit box. In the past few years, I bought a good, professional model flute, took lessons & now play for church, weddings, etc and love, love, love it!!! Now onto piano!! I was denied lessons as a child and so now I feel like a kid in a candy store. I have the most wonderful, encouraging teacher!

So excited to feel so fired up about life and music. Of course I have other interests, 3 kids, a house & a job to keep me busy, but the music holds a special place in my heart.

My passions are dance and gardening. I've been dancing since I was a kid, but I was introduced to ballet and "latin dance" in college. Then one of my coworkers introduced me to belly dance lo these 15 years ago. I've also had flamenco and tango lessons, but I suck royally at those. I love to dance.

My mom inspired me to start gardening here in the northeast. Before that my dream was to move BACK to the tropics so I could finally put all of my houseplants outside. But that didn't pan out. I've had so much fun learning about native plants, especially...and seeing the birds flock to my yard to enjoy the habitat I'm nurturing.

Of course like every other gardener, I go crazy for new plants with unusually colored leaves or something else I feel I MUST have in my yard. My favorite ex-boyfriend got me interested in hiking, and he helped me identify several native trees and shrubs, but I have to admit I didn't care as much until I got my own property. **Also WOW it is really nice to read what everyone is interested in *
