My favorite misheard lyric (I am apparently not only lyrically challenged, but geographically as well) is in Mountain's "Mississippi Queen":

For twenty-five years I sang: "Way down around Pittsburgh, down Louisiana way"...

The real lyric: "Way down around Vicksburg"!!!

For years I thought the Vengaboys were singing "We're going to eat pizza!"

I'd been to Ibiza --- pronounced ee-VEE-tha --- but it never donned on me.

My friend and I were listening to Blondie "Heart Of Glass" and we thought she was singing "you're just no good, you're cheesy like the devil." I think the actual lyrics are "you're just no good, you treat me like you do."

How about the song "Funky Nassau"?

Kinda sounds like "Effing a-hole"

From Flashdance, the song goes, "Take your passion and make it happen..."

My friend's brother (may he rest in peace) thought it was "Take your pants off and make it happen..."
