Being that this is the hobby side of the I thought maybe I could get some advice here.

It has come to my wife's and I attention that we have one of the Beanie Babies that are worth some decent money. Would like to sell it on EBay or something similar. Any advice from some of you who might of used EBay,etc?

Thanks in advance!

Just go on the site and follow the directions for posting.
It has changed a lot since I used to sell things, but if you have a reserve price, it costs extra.
Know in advance what the shipping will cost you.
I believe that you can relist at no charge if your item doesn’t sell the first time.

I sell trains on Ebay. If I had Beanie Babies I would watch what they are actually selling for not just the listed auction price. I have seen trains on there where the seller is asking $1000 while others have the same train for $500. Guess which sells first.

Beware Ebay charges fees and Pay Pal does too which are based on the final value of your item.

If your Beanie is generally selling for $100 I would start my auction at $90 with the hopes that many buyers will bid it up which often happens if it truly is desirable.
You can charge a flat rate to ship or charge a price that depends on where the buyer lives.

Get to know the market and Ebay by maybe selling some of your not so collectable Beanies first.
