Saturday is my day I do day trips for my photography. They can be an hour
one way of they can be seven hours one way. As long as I can get in more
shooting time than the combined time driving to and from wherever I'm going.
A great day trip will consist of being track side photographing and/or videoing
trains or trying to get inside abandoned buildings, two of my favorite things!

I get my peace and quiet staying away from all the stupid humans I have to deal with during the weekdays. Now, if we had a purge on the weekends I would get out for that.

Every 3 weeks, wife and I are off together. During those weekends, we go to state parks and walk the trails. Or we stay home. Usually doing work around the house, outside, if weather is nice. BBQ or cook something big enough for a get together. If the weather is not favorable, we'll try to make the most of it. Where we live, there's crawfish fields galore. We go catch some. Either use it for bait to go fishing or if we catch a lot, we'll boil them. Instead of paying loads of money for a sack of 35# crawfish. They're a lot better when they're free! Especially having fun catching them.

The other weekends, we're working at least a Saturday or Sunday. We'll just lounge around the house, resting and relaxing.

This weekend, I'll be completely FREE, so want to go somewhere different from what I normally do. It's supposed to rain though on Sat, so I don't know.

Was going to maybe go to the zoo or some museum.

Max relaxation, whether that is dining out, going to the movies, beach, or just taking a drive around the island. Or lounging on the couch binge-watching something on Netflix with a hot plate of food

Half my weekend is usually spent in a horse barn, working. The other half I usually like to relax at home and take a hike in the park with my dog. My work weeks are busy so I like my day off to be restful.

I usually take a walk with the dog on one of the many trails around our city or Im in the house doing home improvement projects or just cleaning the house for the upcoming week . I don't go to movies cause I can make better use of my money and don't find them all that appealing anymore . I very rarely eat out because I like to cook . But if I feel the need I will pick up a book or finish sewing a project if needed or wanted too .

We often get into a rut especially in the winter where we just do chores. To get away from this, we made a policy now: when my wife does not work on a Saturday we go somewhere. Started this weekend, so we went to a tavern in a small town in Canada and had scotch eggs bangers and mash and some local beer (for me). Kinda checked out the town a little and came home. That actually took most of the day (customs was a little slow, so that added to the time).

Sunday I slept in, sorted a few hundred books to donate and re-organized the library. I also tried to make some mash for the bird, but I forgot it and burned it while i was tied up converting a majority of all cities in the world to my Religion. Then I tried to go to a health club with my daughter, but discovered my son had taken my only sneakers when he left for Texas, so instead I spent a half hour raging around the house being super pissed off. Then read a book and went to sleep.
