I ended up having a fun-packed weekend in addition to doing the taxes:

- Swung by Staples
- Went to a couple of shopping malls each day
- Went out to dinner each day Souplantation and this Brazilian Grill
- Went to the La Brea Tar Pits Museum...might have been 8 yrs since last there
- Went to the LA County Museum of Art next door...probably hadn't been there in a good 20+ yrs.
- Saw the movie Us. It was odd, but I liked it.

Same here, jim. One thing I do is try to get my wife out for a little fresh air from time to time. She has hip and back problems and can get around but pain hits after 10 or so minutes on her feet. So we get in the car and I ask "which direction?" I drive where she tells me. We have a 170,000 national recreation area about 25 miles away and we'll drive through some of that occasionally. We're in western Kentucky so we're about 30 miles from Illinois, 20 or so from Tennessee and about 30 to Missouri. I drive and she keeps her camera handy in case she sees something she likes.
During the summer I take off with my fishing poles to Kentucky Lake to see how many fish I can't catch.

^ I can only remember going on JUST A DRIVE w/o actually going anywhere, just 1x in my life. Drives are nice & can be relaxing depending on where you drive. I should do it more often...during off-peak hours when I can.

That 1x, I went on Route 66 in my area & just stayed all the way on it & went quite far about an hour's drive along it.

The usual - dinner out Friday night, Saturday morning - gym for a hour or so, breakfast out, take the dogs for a hike for an hour or so. Run a few errands, nap, maybe some reading or gardening. Dinner in, tv, bed. Sunday - gym early, home to shower then church. Lunch out with friends. Hike with dogs in afternoon, nap, light dinner, tv or music on back porch. Play my fiddle. Unexpected events - nights out with friends, hitting a live show or movie, or night out for live music. Weekends are SHORT. Only time for so much...
