It's now March 2020.

Those who aren't homebodies & go out quite a bit in general, do you find yourself staying at home more due to the coronavirus?

I actually stayed in my area, but not at home last Fri. Mainly because I couldn't think of anywhere I really wanted to go.

My days of FREE Fridays are numbered these days & I only have the next few left because I'll be starting a new job soon, so I'm trying to think of where to go today, 3/6.

What do I do on weekends?

Even in retirement I find my weekends are about the same as they were when working.

Mostly a full production family breakfast, grocery run then a local hike someplace close, fiddle-piddle in the backyard with some music on my audio system, moving on to afternoon 'refreshments' while prepping a full production family dinner ending with a movie or mini-binge of a tv show before bed.

Saturday is my day, and I spend it riding my motorcycle hither and yon. Sunday is domestic chore day. We're empty-nesters planning on moving to TX later this year.

These last few months, every day is like a weekend day for me. But as we know, all good things come to an end eventually & nothing lasts forever.

It's Sept 2020...just about a 1/2 a year into COVID. Is everyone still chugging along?

Fiance' & I had thought about bike riding about 3-4 mos ago, but never started yet. He'd still have to buy a bike. I still have mine back at my parents' house in the garage. Neither of us have ridden a bike in over 25 yrs, but like they say, you never forget how to ride one!

Even way before COVID, I mostly try to lay low on Fridays, Sats, & Suns honestly because it's more crowded out there. I go out more Mon-Thurs.

I’m retired so everyday is whatever I feel like doing. Since it’s getting to winter here, I’ve been winterizing my summer vehicles. Fixing things I won’t be able to get to when it’s -20 outside. Usually my days are riding my moto, riding my mountain bike, fishing, working on some gunsmithing project, visiting with my neighbors, reading, exploring some area I’ve never been to, cutting winter firewood. I do miss going to rock concerts, going to restaurants, being able to cross the border to Canada. I really haven’t gone into town except to the hardware store or grocery store. Mostly order online and have things dropped off by FedEx, UPS or the Postal Service. The pension is automatically deposited into my checking account, I pay everything online. So other than the occasional visit out here, I rarely go anywhere or see another human.

I'm at the track railing around on my sport bike once a month then ripping or pedaling the mountain bike one day each month. The other days are family days.

It's now Oct. 2021, a year later since the last post here.

What's everyone's typical weekend activities these days now that COVID's been around for a while?

I try to usually lay low & relax at home &/or stay around town on weekends when it's more crowded out there. I do what I want & need to do M-Th when it tends to be less crowded. Even w/ biking I don't really do on weekends when the parks & trails are more crowded. I definintely stay clear of malls, grocery stores, & getting restaurant takeout.

If I know of certain stores in my area that are never that crowded, I might go.
