You don't get to see this happen very often anymore....

DiPietro clotheslines Matt Cooke as Cooke skates by his crease with 16.5 seconds left in the game. For some reason, the Isles go after Cooke??

Brent Johnson doesn't like the fact that DiPietro has his team doing the fighting for him and skates across the centre red line to fight.

One huge left puts DiPietro down on his wallet...

LOVED it!

And if you go back and see the video, pay attention to Fleury's face as Johnny comes off the ice... priceless!

Question... since he was tossed and Fleury finished, who gets the shutout?

He was #2.

Here's a link:

Goalie Fight Reactions Video - NHL VideoCenter

Scroll down to find the "just added" tab to find the video of the "top 10 goalie scraps." I can't decide who's more amusing: the players themselves, or the announcers.

You better believe it, baby!!

LOL ...

I have to admit that I haven't looked at the scoresheet to verify this, but I'm a bit confused as to the penalties that were accessed after this fight under which the last 16.5 seconds were played.

I know it doesn't make any difference, but the Penguins ended up with a 4 minute power play.

Johnson and DiPietro would get 5 minutes for fighting each.... and offsetting.

Then DiPietro probably got 2 minutes for clotheslining Cooke (interference?).

Then what?
