I always thought bringing back Peca would have been good but he liked the Sabres.

So far so good. Montoya has looked really good and DP is up to his usual with a possible concussion. Hopefully we'll keep playing Monty and get a nice trade for Nabakov before we call up one of the talented young goalies that we got to see last year.

Nabokov gets his first start and it's a good one. We are now 3-1-0. Goaltending is looking good and Tavares had a hat trick and a total of 4 points for the second straight game. In 4 games we have only let up 6 goals so far.

I don't know if anyone pays attention to our team much but our goaltending has been exceptional. In all the games so far, no goalie has given up more than 3 in a game. Now if we can get our guys to score some goals, then maybe we can get some points and start moving up in the standings.

Another decent goaltending game. DP only let up 2 goals, there was a 3rd on an empty net but the same result...NO OFFENSE!

When are they going to learn?

Rule #1-Start Montoya every game, forget about DP!
Rule #2-trade for offense!!!

Well it was good to see that ownership finally realized that keeping DP is a waste. He obviously cleared waivers because no one wanted any part of the most injury prone guy ever that never reached the potential that he showed once or twice a year. Do the right thing Ricky, give the rest of the money back!!! Playing 5-10 games a year and getting paid $5 million is a crime in itself.

Hey Islanders fans better start showing up to your games otherwise they will be the Milwaukee Islanders. Why don't the Islanders draw better? 7.6M people on long island.
