The Kings are looking incredibly solid. They have 4 lines that can score, the goaltending by Quick has been phenomenal and right now they are leading all 4 teams left in offensive production numbers throughout the playoffs with 3.18 goals per game. That's right...the Kings are LEADING in offensive production. Barring some key injuries or some radical adjustments that the Coyotes are able to come up with to stop this juggernaut, the Kings will advance to the Finals.
I still think the Rangers / Devils series could go either way, but whoever advances out of that series may be pretty battered and tired if it goes 7 games. The Kings are showing right now the potential to sweep the Coyotes, leaving a big rest period if the other series goes long.
In the end though, it comes down to goaltending and matchups in my opinion and keeping your composure in key situations avoiding inopportune penalties. I haven't done any position matchup comparisons of the Kings versus either East team.

Did you forget about TV? Or that the scheduled playing time for all of these games is already determined before the NHL knows who is playing who.
I am not in favor of playing playoff games on back to back days.
It doesn't look like the Coyotes are going to be around long enough for me to get much wear out of my Desert Dog, Then the Rangers, Devils will be the only show on

If the Kings complete the sweep, and the Rangers win the East playing a full series, the Kings will begin the Stanley Cup series having played eight less playoff games on their way to the big show, not to mention the extra rest time.
Could history finally be in the making for L.A.? The Kings are already the first eighth seed to knock off the #1 and #2 seeds, and in beautiful fashion nonetheless. This could be the year!
Well the NHL folks in charge of ratings are licking their chops with hopes of LA plus NY in the finals. The 2 biggest markets.
Yeap,,, and then the storm known as the CBA is brewing on the horizon, and is coming fast.
Nevertheless, back more on topic, c'mon Sand Hounds... can't let them friggin Kings win, at least not this easily.
However, hate to say it, but can't recall the last time that have seen such an energetic confident forechecking team, so fast, well positioned... hat is off to the coaching and players [not Brown though,,, can't stand that jerk].
At the beginning of the third period (17:20), there was a delayed penalty called on Phoenix. Dwight King of L.A. scores a goal before the whistle blows. Why doesn't L.A. have a power play opportunity after the goal was scored?

I wondered that, too ... And then I fell asleep. *sigh*
