There's a fire Homer thread on another forum. It's been there for a couple of years I think. The fans have been unhappy with him for awhile.

Oh Well. We'll see what happens - but ONE game. WOW.

I feel the same way you do and Ed Snyder's failed business model of fielding contending teams of varying success but who never win the Stanley Cup plods on as a result.

Flyers suck, Eagles suck, Phillies suck. It's going to be a loooooooooooooooong next 10 years in Philly. Terrible players, terrible owners, terrible management for all teams.

Since I am a Rangers fan, I always say "Flyers suck", however looking at them unbiasedly, they have several players I would love to have on my team. I believe the Flyers have the best chance of making the playoffs of any of the teams mentioned.

They have a lot of talent on the team but they can't seem to play as a team. It's so frustrating. I'm really trying to be patient but so far this season looks like a repeat of last season. I keep telling myself it's only the first three games but they are making me nervous.

They should be scoring goals left and right. They have at least 4 or 5 guys on the team who are capable of having 20+ goals a season.

Do they really have talent or is that just wishful thinking?
If the talent is there, then who is to blame - players, coach, GM, or who?

I feel they have "some" major talent on their team, but do need to shore up the defense. A goalie is only as good as the d in front of him. Plenty of blame to go around around, but I don't think ownership is part of it. Personally I think a coaching change is in order, but I also think there aren't many good coaches out there. But as a Ranger fan, I want them to stand pat. That way, the Rangers will stay out of the basement.
