As it stands, there are still plenty of teams that are without a Stanley Cup title:

Vancouver Canucks
San Jose Sharks
Phoenix Coyotes
Winnipeg Jets
Minnesota Wild
St. Louis Blues
Nashville Predators
Columbus Blue Jackets
Florida Panthers
Buffalo Sabres
Ottawa Senators
Washington Capitals

Though all of them have already been eliminated from the 2014 playoffs by now, there is always next year (and beyond). So with this in mind, which among these currently active twelve teams without a Stanley Cup title will be the next team to win their FIRST EVER? Anyone willing to discuss this and say which team and why? Thanks...

Minnesota will carry this momentum into the next few years and I am sure they will make to the Cup by 2017.

Amazing some of these teams on the zero titles list especially with long-term successes that they've had and the amount of playoff appearances... especially St. Louis.

That's who I voted for... they've got a quality team... they have to break through at some point one would think. I think they'd be the ones to do it first of this bunch...

As much as I don't want to say it, but I think Minnesota will.
As long as when they win the cup they don't try and take Hockeytown away from Detroit! They still have 10 more cups to go to be on the same level! haha

Also, the Senators won the very first year of the NHL. So they need to be taken off the list.

^^^

Please check your Stanley Cup history again. The Ottawa Senators that won was the original incarnation back in the 1920s. Sadly that squad failed to survive the Great Depression era and folded. The Ottawa Senators I'm referring to is the current incarnation (which started in 1992); it has yet to win one (though they came close in 2007 only to lose the SCF to Anaheim).... Thanks...

Yeah. I was just going by team name.

So on a technicality the Ottawa Senators have won the cup, but THE Ottawa Senators have not ha

Minnesota North Stars have won The Cup during their temporary hiatus in Dallas prior to their re-relocation back to downtown Minneapolis in 2016.

Perhaps St. Louis.

San Jose Sharks has been a tease for the past few years now. The Vancouver Canucks perhaps have missed their window.
