Montreal beats Ottawa in OT and goes up 3-0 in the series. Even if Ottawa wins game 4, you can pretty much stick a fork in the Sens because they are cooked!
Turns out I gave Crawford too much credit in just "getting the job done." Man, he's been atrocious these 2 games, and atrocious is putting it nicely. Not even Antti Niemi after game 5 last year looked this rattled. If I'm Quenneville, there's no doubt I'm starting Darling in game 3, Darling is the only reason they'll be going home tied 1-1 and not down 0-2, give him an opportunity.
You were wrong then about Crawford then, and you are still wrong now, he played at an elite level for much of the season, with the exception of the couple of weeks coming back after he hurt his foot, and he may have rushed back from that. His GAA was 6th in the league, might have been higher if not for those 2 weeks.
The guy had two bad periods, really, and his team? Yeah, lots of spectators in white standing around waiting for the buzzer on the 2nd Preds goal on Friday with 0.03 remaining in the 1st, no one clearing pucks throughout the game. Lot of turnovers, blown coverages, odd man rushes. The win Sunday was not about Darling, it was about the team playing better in front of him. I like Darling, he's a big kid with a great comeback story, hopefully he continues on the upward trajectory. But I am not sure about handing the reins to him for the rest of the playoffs.
Without Crawford playing as well as he did after Kane went down, the team may have slipped out of a playoff spot. Q may continue to play Darling through the Nashville series, because Nashville seems to have Crow's number, but if they advance, I would expect to see Crawford back in net. Q knows who brought them to the dance.
The Flames and the Canucks don't like eachother. Who knew?
I wished for many OT games, so am still hoping that the Blues can take this to 7, in the event that my team wins their series, the winner of this series will be tenderized.
The Montreal-Ottawa games aren't quite as close as the scores would suggest.
Montreal completely dominated Game 3. Anderson was gold, but he also got extremely lucky.
I doubt he can perform like that in Game 4.
The few goals they've had have also been pretty weak.
Sens are good, but their weaknesses are definitely showing, and Montreal has way too many scoring options.

Great minds?
I should have said that I want that series to go 7 for the fabulous playoff hockey (which, honestly, is true, because playoff hockey only comes once a year, but I always want my team to win in fewer than 7. Not always a fan of the sweep, it seems to be bad for some teams to sit and wait, and it can lead to overconfidence).
