They started off hot this season and just cooled off. They'll come back they're a good team.

After a great start they seem to have fallen back to their usual middle of the pack style of play.Yawn.
I'll tune in when the playoffs start and see where they take it.

They have the right roster, just not the right staff. With the team they currently have, there is no reason why they shouldn't be able to win it all, regardless of Price's injury. Condon has been more than good enough.

They seem to be outshooting their opponents by a wide margin in most games, problem is the puck just isnt going in the net for them. .Agreed with Condon playing great.

They need to.

I'm kind of sick of his excuses. "We're doing the right things. The puck just isn't going in."
No, you're NOT doing the right thing. If you were, your team would be back to being first in GF/G. With the kind of roster he has, there is no excuse why they're playing so poorly.
Shots on goal are good, but if no one is there to catch the rebounds or make nifty plays, they're worthless.

Also, why is Galchenyuk not on the first line? Seems like he should be up there with Pacioretty and Gallagher. His talent and potential is being wasted.

The only guys scoring seem to be AHL players. That's a massive problem.

And what's with Subban? He's got a bomb of a shot, but never uses it anymore. Did someone tell him to stop shooting at the net? He still plays with heart and sets up nice plays (evidenced by his 30 assists) but come on, someone needs to tell him to shoot it.

Evidence of just how poorly their execution is and how disorganized they are can be seen in the replays of last night. The goals against were simply atrocious, from Markov clearing the zone but no winger there to catch the pass, to Desharnais running over Condon (wtf was that???) to Subban not shooting when the puck landed directly on his stick after rebounding off of Rask...

No doubt they're reeling but they're not done. And I think Therrien's job is safe 'til the end of the year. And should be.

I do agree with a poster above about putting Galchenyuk on the top line but the team generally has not been playing badly. They just got nada to show for it.

Their next three games are critical, against the Leafs and two against the Blue Jackets. They've got to scrape at least 3 and preferably more points out of those games.

What would really help is to have one or two of their pucks go IN off a post instead of out, have another go in off someone's butt and end up in a 6-1 laugher.

That could cure a lot of ills.

The epic fail continues.Looking like they wont even make the playoffs. For a team that has 24 Stanley Cup banners hanging in the arena for every game this level of mediocrity is baffling.

Definitely a head-scratcher.

I really thought Bergevin's strong vote of confidence would net them at least 2 or 3 points from the Columbus games, especially after eking out that win against the Leafs.
