Now, you trade Dale Weise for next to nothing, and practically give away Smith-Pelly who was fitting in very well. Keep throwing Desharnais on the top line (for whatever reason... He's NOT GOOD) over Galchenyuk...
Gee that sounds rough. Although I am a Kings fan...it is crazy that all 5 Florida/California teams will be headed to the playoffs and a single Canadian team won't.

I also think they traded the wrong guy, after being a solid backup goalie throughout the season Halak brought them as close to the playoffs as they'd been in a long time his reward for his efforts? he gets traded And where was Price in that playoff run? injured as usual. This Price isnt as good as every one gives him credit for as he's either choking or he's injured.

Pelly 7 goals in 9 games,Matteau no goals. Whoever was responsible for that trade should resign or go into a corner and hang his head in shame.
Also letting 3 short handed goals in in one game just reeks of total coaching incompetence.

Do you think maybe he got traded because of his off-ice antics with Galchenyuk? LOL. Still doesn't excuse trading for a guy like Matteau. There is a player who was given every advantage as a kid thanks to his dad; played in the U.S. National Development Team and all, but isn't even a factor in the AHL! He's more of a ECHL-caliber player. No sense at all.

They are now officially out of the playoffs. They need to make some big changes before the start of next season. I'd start with General Manager (Marc Bergevin)and the coach (Michel Therrien.)

And golden boy Desharnais. He can go to the AHL or ECHL or wherever Therrien goes. Just get rid of him.

Our offense wasn't very good to begin with. Last year was similar to '02 with Jose Theodore. But this year showed what happens when you don't have your Hart winning goalie.

Price isn't going anywhere. If he didn't go after the 2010 playoffs, he's not going now.

Price, Subban and Gallagher are staying. Subban would yield some awesome trade results, but he's a bit too big of a figure in Montreal, and to trade him would be a disaster all around.
