Las Vegas will officially be home to an NHL franchise called the Black Knights starting with the 2017-18 season.
They will play their games at the brand new T-Mobile arena (capacity 17,500) behind New York New York on the Strip.
Team colors will be black, gold & silver.
The NHL will make an announcement this June during their next meeting. Gary Bettman has recently advised owners to familiarize themselves with the draft expansion process which greatly suggests LV will be an expansion team.

Woooooooooo!!! Yeaaahhhh!!!
Your information is bogus because I cannot find information specifically of the Las Vegas Black Knights, and you did not provide a link to your source.
I would like to see a team in LV but I question the viability of it. I'm not sure there would be enough support after the novelty wore off. They might, however, get a lot of fans of visiting teams since Vegas is such a popular destination, but even with that, can they meet a $60 million payroll + operating expenses?
There are a lot of transplanted Midwest and east coast people in Phoenix and that team has done horribly, ranking last in attendance. Vegas might able to support a different professional sport, but I have my doubts about the NHL on a long-term basis.

That's because the coyotes stuck the team in a remote corner of the city, that has traffic problems, for seven pm games. They also had ownership instability. It'll be interesting to see when they move back downtown.
Black Knights may even be joined by the Raiders in the NFL.
