You BOTH sound like my wife, who (like me) is also from Michigan. She's a huge Red Wings fanatic. I mean, I like hockey, and I faithfully follow my Wings, but she's the one who whoops and yells when the Wings score a goal. And she was all choked up when they retired Yzerman's jersey ... I mean, the tears were flowing.
There must be something about Michigan women and Red Wings hockey!!!
A female friend who lives in WI also likes the Red Wings. But she used to be passionate about them; not so much in recent years. But I have a feeling she's passionate again this year.
Here's a toast The Church Brew Works - Playoff Lager (http://www.churchbrew.com/beer/PlayoffLagr2001.html - broken link) to another great game, featuring two talented teams, a game w. some excellent passing, crunching hits, amazing saves, and a Penguins win...
This may be sacrilegious, but if church had lasted any longer tonight, I would have walked out. Even as it is I missed the first goal. I almost mentioned to DH that he should set up the DVD-player, just in case, but we never run over. Que sera, sera!
