Playoff format determined today. Top 4 teams in each division make playoffs, with first 2 rounds within each division. Basically all games, season and playoffs with the exception of division winners are played within their respective divisions. The 4 Division winners go to the finals.
Canadian: CGY, EDM, MTL, OTT, OTT, VAN, WPG
Atlantic: BOS, BUF, NJ, NYI, NYR, PHI, PIT, WAS
Central: CAR, CBJ, DET, CHI, DAL, FLA, NAS, TB
Pacific: ANA, AZ, COL, LA, MIN, SJ, STL, VGK
YUCK. As a Blues fan living in NC, I HATE this. Likely won’t re-up my NHL.TV for this year, because 70% of the Blues games will be on at 10p ET or later. No games vs our arch rival Blackhawks. Seems to me like DAL in the Pacific makes way more sense. Was really hoping Blues and Canes would be in same division.

Seems like the Florida teams mess up the geographic divisions. Why not make one division:
FLA, TB, CAR, WAS, NJ, BOS, NYI, NYR
Put PIT, PHI, and BUF with NAS, CBJ, DET, DAL, CHI or STL.
Nothing says "Pacific" division like a Minnesota team (Wild), Missouri team (Blues), and Texas team (Stars) playing in the Pacific division. Almost reminds me of the old NFL divisions, pre Texans expansion where they had the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC East, the Tampa Bay Bucs in the NFC Central, and the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC West, and of course still to this day Dallas in an "East" division and KC in the "West" division when KC is further East then Dallas is!
