Soon to be... four cups in 11 years, the longest consecutive play off appearance streak in any pro sport and a bunch of 100+ point seasons. dispise is not giving respect...maybe something folks in PITTSBURGH need a bit of.

I am a bit fed up with all the Detroit bashing going on from a number of Pittsburgh fans. To me it is obvious that it is from people who have never been there and have no clue! DETROITs burbs are quite fantastic and the folks there are very friendly and nice!

GO WINGS!
Yes, the Wings have a lot of talent, are very well coached/managed. However, that in and of itself does not constitute reasons in and of itself for me to be a fan of their team. To me, they are the Yankees of the ice - and I despise the Evil Empire just as much. Have been a fan of the Penguins for years, and Mario in my mind was and is a truly all around great player. Yea, Detroit may be a fine city, with "fantastic" suburbs, but that don't make me desire to be a fan of their team either. Lastly, btw, you might wanna check your facts regarding the "the longest consecutive play off appearance streak in any pro sport"...

Granted, this is from 2002, but gives idea of these numbers: CNNSI.com - Statitudes - Statitudes: NHL Season Preview, By the Numbers - Thursday October 10, 2002 12:27 AM

Great game... can not believe the amazing plays, from both teams.

The Red Wings, they just dominate - as said before, excellent discipline, great team. With that said, am just beyond happy belief that the Pens actually won!!! What with all the freaking terrible passing, the quality shots the Wings had, the quantity of shots the Wings had. The goaltending of Fleury... wow.

So many highlight caliber plays... again, great game.
