With the 2008 Stanley cup finals set, I was searching around on youtube searching for some Stanley Cup Finals moments and thought, "why dont I start a thread for this?".
Here are some of my most memorable:

In 2002, the Carolina Hurricanes had just barely clinched the Southeast Division, their opponent would be the team they faced the previuos year, the New Jersey Devils, amny predicted a Devils sweep, but the 'Canes rallied and won in 6. Up next brought Montreal, again, many thought the Canadians would beat Carolina, the Habs took a 2-1 series lead into game 4. This game would be a turining point for Carolina, down 3-0 early in the third, the Canes finally got a chance to throw the puck at the net with a 5 on 3 advantage, they scored, then Bates Battigila scored to cut the lead to one with 7 to go, and then Erik Cole tied the game with 40 seconds left. Niclas Wallin won it in Overtime. To Hurricane fans, this is known as the "Miracle at Molson".
YouTube - Miracle at Molson Carolina then blew out the Habs in the reamaining two games. Then came Toronto, canes won in 6, setting up a match up with the Detroit Red Wings. The Wings were favored once more but it didnt bother Carolina, who stole the first game from them a the Joe Louis Arena, detroit won game 2, setting up a pivitol game 3. Game 3 would last 3 overtimes as Igor Larionov put in the winner.
YouTube - Larionov
Detroit would then win the Tile for 2002. Even though the Canes didnt pull off the upset, they gave Detroit a good run and ended the "Ghost of the Whale" saying that many hockey experts gave them.
And then We won our first in 2006, only this time we were favored over the underdog and cinderella-story Edmonton Oilers.www.youtube.com/watch?v=DisXkVjCosc

All right, someone else have a turn
EDIT: last link not working, I'll add it to another post later

The best one ever - 1980 Bob Nystrom goal to win the first cup for the Islanders:

YouTube - Islanders win Stanley Cup 1980

Lecavalier fighting Iginal in the 2004 finals was great also, mainly because they were both superstars:

YouTube - Vincent Lecavalier vs Jarome Iginla

And there was a move Lecavalier had in those finals where he deked half the Flames on the ice but I can't find it. Good stuff!

Bobby Orr's flying through the air. Might be the best moment ever, not just the Finals.

OK, first I am not knowledgeable on hockey like some. I did like when Roy had the punk, did the Statue of Liberty thing, and dropped it in the net.

The last benchclearing brawl in the NHL between the Rangers and the Devils in 1992.
And Niklas Wallin bringing home the cup in 2006.

Standing beside it holding my then 8 month old baby girl, my 4 year old girl in front of me NEXT to the Cup. My littlest one was gazing at it and reaching for it. Got the picture in my office and hubby has it in his office.

Oh yeah, and not being able to be in Buffalo when the Stars skated w/ the Cup.

as a Canes fan, that was a series of interest for me. After we beat Toronto in game 6, we were waiting on who would be our opponet in the finals, Personally, i was rooting for Colorado because i thought they would be easier. They had a 3-2 series lead and game 6 in Denver, and i thought they were gonna pull it out, and then the glove in the air, puck in the net happened and I knew it was over. And boy, game 7 was just embarssing for Patrick Roy. Can you imagine, had Roy not done that, perhaps Colorado would have won the series? The game was tied at zero and about to go to 1st intermission, but Colorado was just throwing pucks at Hasek, and after that goal, they lost all kinds of momentum. Detroit was lucky to have Stevey Yzerman leading them that year.
