Thanks to Golfinnova and TheJickler for the idea for this thread.

This doesn't have to be hockey related...

I love the the Wings' Mickey Redmond's way of describing a play. i.e "That goalie couldn't stop a beach ball!","Gimme a good old-fashioned Louisville, baby!" or the classic "Holy Mackeral!"

Let's get some good quotes in here...

Well since this is in the hockey forum, lets keep it hockey-related.

Anyway, that guy who does Penguins games, the most random quotes ever. The funniest one is "He beat (goaltenders name) like a rented mule"

I gotta agree with Hameltoe: Mickey Redmond is a delight to listen to- he cracks me up with his talk about rhubarbs, gingar ale, and hockey players chirpping at one another.

My vote for runners-up would be the crew from Hockey Night in Canada.

I absolutely cannot stand anyone from metwork sports, I get so tired of them dissing the Red Wings.

I like Joe Beninanti. I still have a hard time getting used to hearing him when he does telecasts for someone other than the Caps though.

The greatest of all time personally i believe is Rick Jenereatt. Voice of the Sabres.

"These guys are good.... Scary good!"
"Now do you believe, Now do you believe?!"
"Ryan Miller stuffed him like a turkey!"
"Marty Biron spread em like a snow angel!"
"ROOOOOB RAAAY flattened him!"
"Stuuuuuuu Barnes!"
"Briere scores top shelf where momma hides the cookies!"
"Pominville population went up by 1!"
and many many more

Well, I grew up on Long Island so I will always be partial to the legendary tandem of Jiggs McDonald and Eddie Westfall. I think Rick Peckham and Bobby "The Chief" Taylor do a good job in Tampa. I love Andy Brickley for analysis for the Bruins.
My favorite announcer of all-time is Hubie Brown, the NBA guy. He's awesome!
