No, not since the butterfly goalie revolution. Nobody will score like Gretzky.

I know this will be biased, but the only one is Ovechkin. The key is whether he stays healthy unlike Lindros.

Already leading the league in goals this season (after a very slow start I might add) with a hat trick in Florida yesterday.

Ovechkin, however, he's a lot more physical than Gretzky ever was, so in a way, he's not the next Gretzky.
Crosby is a little bit closer to Gretzky's style, however, seems to be lacking some class, that Gretzky had.

I don't think there will ever be another player like Gretzky or Lemieux. Lemieux is the only one who ever came close, but he has his own greatness.

^^^^yep

Ovie's going to be something special in his own manner. 20 years from now people will be asking who's the next Ovechkin?? There will never be another Greztky.

crosby is already the NHL's "new gretzky".

Buttman figures the league needs a face like the other leagues have. i.e, Brady and the NFL

I may be biased, but I think Evgeni Malkin has the potential to be the next Gretzky.

It's hard to tell at this point but I think if there is any current player that could live up to the Gretzky name it's Ovechkin. He really is in a league of his own.

Ovechkin plays a different style than Gretzky but I think he's the most talented. A gretz clone only comes once a generation, like Howe before him.
