Got to be Ovechkin. He is bringing flair and showmanship to hockey, and can back it up with wicked skills. Scores goals and hits like a freight train. No contest.
Ovechkin is clearly the best player in the league.
The best big time goalie in the league looks to be my man Henrik
Is that a referrence to the questionable goal line saves Henrick Z made in the playoffs? With his glove on the puck? For those who don't know, he is a forward.
As for Crosby vs Ovechkin? Well, Crosby is prettier but what would he do without Malkin? If he played against Zetterburg more often no one would think twice about him.
Someone mentioned Lidstrom. Good bet. I predicted Detroit edging Pitts but only if Lidstrom played. The warrior played with a groin injury that made the doctor wince. We're not talking about a simple pulled muscle.

Of course he means King Henrik of New York, the best goalie in the league.
Nothing demonstrates more of an all around player than winning the Selke trophy (top forward demonstrating defense) AND finishing top 5 in points, consecutive seasons.
I wish he had been healthy in the playoffs.

Only half of the best team in the league showed up in the finals.
OK, I admit. I'm a Wings fan.
