Nice job, Buttman. You managed to find a facility with even WORSE sightlines than Wrigley had for the Winter Classic last year.

The Winter Classic was cool for one year and then Gary Bettman and his 'tard cronies just had to ruin it all because they think it's SO COOL to play hockey in baseball stadiums, which are totally asymmetrical to a hockey rink, not to mention they have about half the capacity of football stadiums, which means an extra 30 or 40 thousand people don't get to see the game.

I live for the day Buttman is booted as NHL commish.

It's a marketing thing. More people are going to be interested in a hockey game being played at Fenway than they would at Foxboro

exactly

look at how many musicians have tried to play either fenway or wrigley

these are the early stages of a really neat idea that draw a good amount of interest

people will turn in to just see hockey at fenway .... others to see hockey outdoors

i imagine this will be in more traditional arenas soon, but at this point any publicity and hype they can get is for the good

I can't imagine it with a hockey rink on top.

Ummmm.....exactly how are they going to set up the seats in the left/center/right field areas? That is a LOT of ground to cover! Are they going to install "cheap seats" along the Green Monster?

Very strange...I wonder if this Winter Classic thing has run its course. Brilliant in Edmonton/Buffalo, so-so at Wrigley, Fenway looks - weird.

seating is probably the least important element

the game will sell out regardless of how uncomfortable the seats are and how poor the sightlines will be

make no mistake that this is a TV event
