USA should be ashamed about their victory over Sweden in the semi-finals.
Why is it that the american and canadian teams ALWAYS have the judge on their side?
Not only on their side, I mean, the game was obviously rigged!

PS. I admit I lost half my paycheck on this game..

Hope you got to see part of the game, OD, as the US won just its second junior world championship with a 6-5 overtime win.

As is the norm, what was billed in some quarters as being a classic couldn't live up to the hype. The sell out crowd in Saskatoon witnessed a sloppy game filled with giveaways and blown coverages by both teams.

Mike Lee, who shares the goaltending role at St. Cloud State with former Wellington Duke Dan Dunn, started for the American team, but was pulled in favour of 17-year-old Jack Campbell after allowing the goal which knotted the game at 3 in the second period. Campbell went on to stop 33 of 35 shots the rest of the way.

When the US opened a two-goal bulge to make the score 5-3 in the third period, the Canadian coaches pulled a shaky Jake Allen from between the pipes.

The sloppiness continued as the US allowed 2 goals in the last 5 minutes of the third to send the game to overtime.

In the 4-on-4 extra frame, an ill-timed pinch by the Canadian defense sent the US down ice on a 3 on 1 break resulting in a slapshot from the top of the left circle bulging the twine to seal the victory.

If you liked uncertainty, then this game would thrill you, but it was a display of careless and sloppy hockey by both teams.

Yes I caught part of it, it was on the NHL network but wasn't listed in 'the guide'. Up and down game, I enjoyed it. Just like the Memorial cup tourney. The sport could really grow I think if more people got to see up tempo styles.
