Elnina, just out of curiosity, do you have any real experience with any of the rugs you posted links to? In particluar, the quality, durability, type of backing, or where they are manufactured. I was looking on here earlier and there was a post from a company selling the rugs and it seemed like they knew about their products, but I don't see it anymore. So I was wondering if you had the same type of first-hand knowledge about the rugs you're promoting. To me the quality of information is better than the quantity of information.

No, I am not promoting anything and unfortunately I don't have any experiences with the natural fiber ( other than wool ) rugs. I was thinking to buy a sisal rug for my sunroom, and I probably will do so, but that's about it.
I have similar problem with my dining room, but my rug is round and I wish, I could find it a size bigger ( 8ft is common, but I cannot find the right color/pattern).
I googled OP problem, and checked several sites for the best match in color and texture.

That's too bad. I sure wish I could find the post from the person that actually knew what they were talking about. Unfortunately, elnina, posting links to products you are unfamiliar with is more like SPAM, than actually being helpful or informative. Oh well, that always seems to happen. They were probably reported for posting helpful information.

Does anyone have a cached copy from this thread yesterday? I would really like to have the links that were posted yesterday, as they would really help my situation. Also, it would be nice to be able to call and talk to someone who knows about these types of rugs.

SunFlower30: I don't think that posting links to products that OP was looking for was a SPAM. Me, and others were posting helpful hints. It is up to OP to decide what she wants to buy and to be comfortable with it. You are not OP and I didn't post them for you. She didn't ask our opinion about the quality, durability or owner experiences. All she asked for was our opinion about "rug to dining table ratio" then she wondered how easy it would be to find the bigger size in similar color. That's why the links were for.
If you have questions not related to OP topic, you can start your own thread.

I don't think you can. Promoting own products is against the rules on this forum. That actually is what is called SPAM.

Sunflower30: I'm sure the reason that the post was removed is because someone complained about it. I couldn't say for sure, but since elnina posted something about 'advertising your own business', I would say she might know why the post isn't there anymore.

Actually, advertising is against the rules, so anyone posting links to a retail website where someone could buy the product would be considered advertising. However, since everyone does this, it's difficult to enforce a no-advertising rule.

Totally uncalled for. You should probably look up the definition of spam too. No one is reported for posting "helpful" information. They ARE however reported for posting spam!

Design rule of thumb is select a rug where there is 3 feet of space where the chair can be pulled out and still on the rug.
