I have a small dining room and an oak table with six chairs. I want to replace the four side chairs with two benches that aren't bulky (plain) and are 48 inches (or so) long. Oak or black. Have you seen any for $100 or less each that won't fall apart in a year? Could I make them, having NO skill, but a few tools? Thanks for any info!
Can you post a picture of your table and chairs? I can't find you benches until I know if it's contemporary or traditional and the specific features that will blend pieces go together.
Hope, I tried for a half hour to post a photo. I don't know how to re-size it. Anyway, all you need to know is that it's classic oak, country-ish (I know, bleck!) rectangle with rounded corners, the kind that will last forever even when you want something new. :-) Thanks
Go to your photo and right click on the photo then you will get a menu - select the first one at the top which is "Open With" then select "Paint" then you will get a pop-up menu at the top of the photo - you want to choose"resize and skew." After you select "resize and Skew, push the "Control" button along with the letter W at the same time and you will get the resizing window. You can play around with the percentages for the Horizontal and Vertical - I usually set both at 80% and then you will be asked if you want to save that setting and you say yes. You may have to reduce it further but you can reduce it again just a bit until it is the correct size to post.
I make a copy of the original picture first and play around with resizing the copy rather than the original.
Then in order to post here at this site, I believe you need to store your photo at a remote size like PictureTrail or Photo Bucket or another free photo storage site - you will have to upload your pictures to your free site and then you can post pictures her on this site.
